IMAGINE KWESE TV WITH FOX SPORTS AFRICA

Image
OK so now I'm sure all of you know that kwese is now here and the buzz in Zimbabwe is immense. People are excited and can't wait to start switching from Dstv given especially the high cost of premium sports packages and not to forget the hustle to pay for the service in the first place. In as much as there is great buzz i think its fundamental to note that things might not be as rosy at the start for KweseTv in satisfying the appetite of Sports fanatics here in Zimbabwe. There shall come a stage where one consumer sits down and compares KweseSports premium package  and Supersport (Dstv compact) given both are roughly the same price of $30. I personally feel the fact that Dstv has been in the game for too long and all the sports channels it offers customers at the same price edges KweseSports a bit hence i feel KS needs to partner up with another American Sports Network to try and fill the gap. FOX SPORTS AFRICA OK so the American Sports Network I'm talking abou...

FINALLY KWESE-TV IS HERE!!

Image
Here is how you can get Kwese in Zimbabwe right now (unofficially)   The wait is agonizing now. It looks like they now  have it or at least are about to get it. It is just a matter of time before they announce but that’s not good enough for some of us. If you absolutely can’t wait here is what you can do. Keep in mind this is not official though. The Kwese decoder is on sale in Zimbabwe right now, in Harare at least. According to TechZim some of the members of their team visited one such store where the decoders are being sold and can confirm this. There was even content playing on a TV they said. The decoders are being imported from countries where Kwese is already licensed, like Zambia. The decoders come with their own satellite dishes and a fresh installation is required. You can’t just connect the Kwese decoder to your Dstv satellite dish as the satellites they receive information from are different. This means the dishes face different directions  and t...

FOOTBALL RIGHTS IN AFRICA

Image
In case you are wondering and always asking yourself where has my favorite football league gone to, here i will help you find it. This article serves to enlighten you on which pay TV service providers have the rights to certain football games. Please note that this article is talking about football rights in SUB-SAHARAN AFRICA. What you will need to understand is that some rights are shared while some are exclusive. Shared rights means more than one broadcaster can air the same football games whereas exclusive means at a given region no other broadcaster has permission to do so. In our region here we have three clear cut pay TV service providers namely KweseTv(KWESE SPORTS) by Econet Media , Dstv (SUPERSPORT) by Naspers and the Chinese owned Startimes(STARTIMES SPORTS). KWESE SPORTS Kwese sports (KS) are the newest players in the market with around 19 months in service, but they have managed to seal some big deals proving that is committed to going all out to compete with the alread...
